Hyundai Nigeria is making a bold statement in the premium SUV segment with the unveiling of the all-new Hyundai Palisade, a model that combines striking design, enhanced performance, and next-generation technology to meet the needs of modern drivers.
At the core of the redesign is a more commanding exterior. The 2026 Palisade adopts a bolder, boxier profile with a more vertical stance, giving it a stronger road presence. The SUV is also larger than its predecessor, with an increased wheelbase designed to maximise interior space. This translates into more legroom and overall comfort, particularly important for a three-row vehicle aimed at families and executive users who prioritise space and convenience.
Under the hood, Hyundai is introducing a significant upgrade with a new 2.5-litre turbocharged hybrid powertrain. This engine is expected to deliver approximately 329 horsepower while offering improved fuel efficiency, aligning with the growing global shift toward more sustainable mobility solutions. For customers who prefer conventional engines, a 3.5-litre gasoline variant will also be available, ensuring flexibility across different driving preferences and market conditions.
Inside, the Palisade reflects Hyundai’s increasing focus on luxury and user experience. The cabin is designed to feel both modern and intuitive, anchored by a curved panoramic display that seamlessly integrates the infotainment system and driver information cluster. This setup enhances visibility while giving the interior a futuristic, high-end appeal.
Connectivity and convenience are also central to the experience. The SUV comes equipped with 100-watt USB-C charging ports, allowing passengers to quickly power their devices on the go. An available fingerprint authentication system adds a layer of personalised security, enabling drivers to access vehicle settings and features with ease.
Comfort is another standout feature. The Palisade offers first- and second-row relaxation seats, designed to provide a premium, lounge-like experience during long trips. Combined with the spacious cabin layout, these features make the SUV particularly suited for extended family travel and executive transport.
Safety remains a key priority in the new model. The Palisade is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2, which enhances the vehicle’s ability to detect and respond to potential hazards on the road. These features are part of Hyundai’s broader commitment to improving driver confidence and passenger safety.
Adding a new dimension to the lineup is the introduction of the XRT PRO trim. This rugged variant is built for drivers who seek more than just urban comfort, offering off-road capabilities and distinctive styling elements that set it apart from the standard model. It reflects Hyundai’s intention to cater to a wider range of lifestyles and driving conditions.
Recently showcased in Lagos alongside other models in Hyundai’s lineup, the all-new Palisade underscores Hyundai Nigeria’s commitment to delivering globally competitive vehicles with strong local relevance.
The unveiling also highlights the brand’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in Nigeria’s evolving automotive market, where demand for premium SUVs continues to rise.
Speaking at the event, Brand Head of Hyundai Nigeria, Gaurav Vashisht, said the launch signals the company’s commitment to deepening its footprint in Nigeria with globally competitive products tailored to local needs.
“This introduction of the all-new Palisade strengthens our premium SUV offering while complementing a well-rounded line-up that delivers on design, safety, innovation and everyday usability,” he said.
