Nigerian fashion designer Victoria James, popularly known as Veekee James, has announced the birth of her first child with her husband, Femi Atere.
The couple shared the news in a joint Instagram post on Wednesday, revealing that they welcomed a baby girl, Eliana Adeife Atere, on May 2, 2026.
In a video accompanying the announcement, the newborn was seen dressed in a soft pink knitted outfit embroidered with her name, as the proud parents introduced their daughter to the public for the first time.
Explaining the meaning behind their daughter’s name, Veekee James said “Eliana” was derived from “EL”, meaning God, and “ANA”, meaning He has answered, translating to “My God has answered.”
The couple also cited a Bible verse: “For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of Him,” describing the birth of their daughter as an answer to prayer.
The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans and celebrities, including Osas Ighodaro, Chioma Ikokwu, Mo Abudu and Riyah Abdul.
Veekee James and Femi Atere got married in a star-studded ceremony in February 2024 after announcing their engagement in December 2023.
The birth of their daughter marks a new chapter for the couple, whose relationship has continued to attract admiration from fans on social media.
