Igor Tudor stepped down as Tottenham Hotspur manager by mutual consent on Sunday.
The Croatian spent six weeks- 44 days- at the helm of affairs at the North London club but could not change the club’s fortunes in his brief time in charge.
Tudor had replaced Thomas Frank on February 14, but failed to win a league match in five attempts. His only win in seven matches came from the second leg UCL round of 16 match against Atletico Madrid Totenham won 3-2 but lost the two-legged tie.
Tottenham, have therefore pulled the plug on the 47 year old former Juventus’ reign by mutual agreement, citing the coach’s family bereavement as a factor.
He will also be followed out of the club by physical and goalkeeping coaches respectively.
“We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect. Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach.
“We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly. We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time.”
Tottenham are tethering on the brink of relegation, currently in 17th position on the EPL log, one point ahead of 18-placed West Ham United who occupy the final relegation spot.
