Lamir Umar Ibrahim, the Special Advisor on Youths to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has marked his 40th birthday with a medical outreach and cash empowerment programme for vulnerable people in Yelwan Shendam, Plateau State
Ibrahim turned 40 on Sunday, September 6, 2026, with a prayer session organized at the National Mosque, Abuja
Quranic recitations and prayers were also conducted at mosques and the Redeemed Christian Church of God branch in Yelwa
More than 900 vulnerable people benefited from the medical outreach, receiving free treatment and medication, while 26 others underwent various surgical procedures
Speaking during the event, the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the area, Reverend Ilesha Seri, said it was not the first time Ibrahim had supported vulnerable in the community
Seri said, “He is one of the people we are very proud of because he is peace-loving and kind A few days ago, he distributed rice to less privileged people. We are encouraged. He is a rare politician.”
Some of the beneficiaries in Yelwa commended Ibrahim for the medical outreach and the empowerment programme, urging other politicians to emulate him
They also prayed for God to grant him good health, long life and continued success, as he enters a new decade of his life
