Almost all Eid grounds were under close surveillance, ensuring the safety of worshippers. The State Police Command implemented a restriction on tricycles (Keke Napep) from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., but some riders defied the order, navigating the metropolis after the Eid prayers.
Vice President's Presence and Message
Vice President Kashim Shettima attended the Ramat Square Eid Ground, joining Muslim faithful for the two Rakaat prayers. In his address, he expressed gratitude to God and urged Nigerians to pray for peace, leadership, and development across the country. He emphasized the federal government's commitment to protecting citizens' lives and property.
Shettima highlighted the interconnectedness of peace and development, stating, "Without peace, there wouldn't be development." He also offered prayers for the souls of those who lost their lives in recent explosions and attacks in Borno State and other parts of Nigeria.

Imam Idaini of Borno, Imam Shettima Saleh, led the two Rakaat congregational prayer. In his sermon, he emphasized the importance of prayer for peace in Borno State, the region, and the entire country. He urged Muslims to perform Zakatil Fitri, highlighting its significance and blessings.
The Imam also encouraged the Muslim community to observe Shitta Shawwal, fasting for six days in the month of Shawwal, as a complement to the one-month Ramadan fast.
