Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has called on Media Trust Group to document its technological transformation and share its experience with other media organisations to preserve its achievements and promote innovation in the industry
Zulum, who was represented by his Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman A Tar, said the governor held Media Trust in high esteem and commended the organisation for its positive use of technology.
“The world is moving very fast Your success stories, unless you document them, will ebb away,” he said, urging the media group to preserve its experience in a book or manual,” he said.
He also called on Media Trust to share its innovations and operational knowledge with other media houses in the national interest
“Even though in the spirit of capitalism, sharing trade secrets is not allowed, in the spirit of our national interest, I urge you to share your stories,” Tar said
On the use of technology in journalism, he said its impact depended on how it was deployed, noting that Media Trust had used it positively
“Technology is inherently neutral All the issues about AI-generated imagery arise because technology is used negatively. In the Media Trust Group, technology is being used positively, and we commend the Trust House for this wonderful achievement,” he said.
The representative of the Taraba State governor, Agbu Kefas, also congratulated the organisation on the feat
