Nigerian skincare brand, Poshglow Skincare, is marking nine years in the beauty industry, with its founder, Dr Agbeluyi Bosede Folasade, reiterating the importance of safe skincare practices and informed beauty choices
Founded in 2017, the brand has developed a range of skincare products, including cleansers, creams, serums, toners, oils, scrubs, herbal soaps and specialised skincare kits
Agbeluyi, also known professionally as Folasade Omotoyinbo, has consistently emphasised the need for consumers to prioritise skin health rather than follow extreme beauty trends, particularly those influenced by social media
In a July 2025 interview, she encouraged consumers, especially young women, to adopt balanced and responsible skincare routines
“True beauty is not about extremes It’s about taking care of your skin in a safe, consistent, and intentional way,” she said.
According to information published on the company’s official website, Poshglow combines naturally sourced ingredients with science-based product development, with its formulations designed to address different skin types and individual skincare needs
Reflecting on the brand’s nine-year journey, Agbeluyi said its philosophy extends beyond appearance to include personal confidence and well-being
“Our journey over the past nine years has been about more than skincare; it has been about helping people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin As we celebrate this milestone, our commitment remains to providing quality skincare solutions, listening to our customers and continuously improving the way we serve them,” she said.
The brand’s published profile also highlights youth empowerment, training and charitable initiatives as part of its broader community-focused activities
As Poshglow enters its tenth year, the milestone provides an opportunity to reflect on the role of responsible skincare education, product development and consumer awareness within Nigeria’s evolving beauty industry
The company is marking the anniversary on October 28 and 29, 2026, with activities commemorating its establishment in 2017
