Former President Olusegun Obasanjo is set to lead an assemblage of dignitaries to the launch of Charly Boy’s historic book ‘999’ in London, United Kingdom
Charly Boy disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Abuja
According to him, after the successful Nigeria launch that had high-profile figures in attendance, all is now set to take the book on an international tour, spanning London, Germany, Kenya and other destinations
The ‘Areafada’ said the London launch is scheduled to hold on Sept 29, with Obasanjo, who wrote the book’s foreword, as the chief host.
He said the event would bring together admirers of the Charly Boy brand, Nigerians in Diaspora and other dignitaries, including Nigerian entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr Obioma Akagburuonye
According to the eccentric entertainer and foremost social activist, the London event will be an evening of truth, reflection and real stories
“The story is still unfolding as we are set to launch ‘999’ in London on Sept 29,” he said.
According to Charly Boy, who recently survived prostate cancer, the tour will also be used by the Charly Boy Foundation to take its ongoing campaign on men’s health, particularly prostate issues, to Nigerian communities in Diaspora
NAN reports that ‘999,’ an intriguing and unfettered book that unmasks the man behind the Charly Boy brand, was formally unveiled on July 31 in Lagos
The public presentation brought together leaders, media personalities and other stakeholders, as well as members of the diplomatic community, including former Commonwealth Secretary-General, Emeka Anyaoku, with Obasanjo as the chief host
