ABUJA — The National Chairman of the Labour Party, Senator Nenadi Usman, has paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
During the visit, Usman conveyed the party’s sympathies to the family, describing the late Hajiya Umma as a woman of exceptional character who lived a life of dignity, compassion, and service to humanity.
Usman’s Senior Special Adviser on Media, Ken Asogwa, said in a statement on Monday that the LP National Chairman, also a native of Kaduna State, had earlier described Hajiya Umma as a distinguished community leader and a devoted mother who raised her children with strong moral values, discipline, and the fear of Allah.
A prayer session was subsequently held, led by the party’s National Treasurer, Alhaji Hamisu Santuraki, asking for the repose of the deceased’s soul.
In response, El-Rufai expressed gratitude for the visit, recalling his mother’s last moments in Cairo and noting that she remained steadfast in faith until the end.
Senator Usman was accompanied by several party leaders, including Arc. Chinelo Ofoche, Comrade Anslem Eragbe, and Barr. Ken Eluma Asogwa.
