Delectable actress Uche Montana has reflected on her life journey, revealing how she started struggling to make ends meet at a very young age.
In a viral interview on the Uncut Xtra podcast, Montana admitted she wasn’t born with a silver spoon, but struggled to raise her head above water to become what she’s today.
“I wasn’t born with a silver spoon. I come from an average family. My father used to own a farm, while my mother was into business. I have three siblings, an elder sister, a younger brother and sister. In family, there’s love and bonding,” the actress recounted.
In her quest for survival, Montana started working immediately after her secondary education, getting employed as a nursery school teacher with a monthly salary of N10,000.
“Growing up for me was a journey. As an adult, I see that every step of the way has brought me to where I am today,” she said.
The actress also talked about how fame has affected her romantic life, revealing it may intimidate some potential suitors. “It would take a special kind of man to pursue a relationship with me and accept me fully,” she said. While fame has brought challenges in dating, it’s also given her financial stability and comfort, allowing her to provide for her family and live comfortably.
“Fame is not supposed to make love difficult, but it might be because of the kind of world that we are in,” she said, highlighting the complexities of dating as a public figure.
Montana began her acting career in 2015. But her major breakthrough came in the TV series’ Hush’, which aired on Africa Magic Showcase and GOtv Africa between 2016 and 2017. In the series, she played Lovina, a role that earned her massive recognition.
