Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to reducing poverty and improving citizens’ welfare.
The governor, represented by the Head of Service, Yakubu Sani Haidara, stated this at the Kaura Namoda Durbar celebration.
Haidara said the administration’s policies span key sectors, including security, health, education, agriculture, trade and investment, with a strong focus on safeguarding lives and property.
He added that the government’s decision to align with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was aimed at securing greater federal support in tackling insecurity.
The Head of Service also highlighted ongoing projects, including the renovation of mosques and traditional institutions, as part of efforts to promote cultural heritage.
In his remarks, the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Major Sanusi Muhammad Aisha (retd), commended the governor’s efforts in security and infrastructure development.
He cited the procurement of security equipment and progress on the Gusau International Airport as key achievements of the administration.
