Former Gombe State Governor and serving All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator, Danjuma Goje, has dismissed rumours of his defection from the APC to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a statement signed by his Special Assistant, Ahmed Isa Kashere, the claim was described as “baseless disinformation.”
Kashere stated that the senator remains a committed member of the APC, noting that he recently attended the party’s national convention and continues to participate in its activities at the national level.
“Senator Goje has not quit the APC, nor does he intend to. This information is incorrect,” he said.
He added that the reports come amid political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, reiterating that Goje remains loyal to the party.
Kashere also noted that similar reports have circulated about politicians in the past, particularly during periods of heightened political activity.
