Tyson Fury secured a dominant unanimous decision victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov in their heavyweight bout at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
Fury marked his return to fighting in England for the first time in three years after briefly ending his retirement, controlling the contest against the Canada-based Russian, who turned professional in 2017.
The judges scored the bout 120–108 twice and 119–109, as Fury went the full 12 rounds to earn his first win in three fights.
His previous two outings ended in back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, which had prompted his short-lived retirement.
Makhmudov, known for his fast starts, showed early intent in the opening round, unleashing a right hand that Fury absorbed while leaning on the ropes.
From the second round, however, Fury began to assert control, landing steady shots that unsettled the Dagestan-born fighter, who struggled to corner the experienced Briton.
Fury took command in the third round, rocking Makhmudov with a hook and following up with combinations.
The 36-year-old Russian responded in the fourth round, regaining composure to keep the contest competitive.
The later rounds belonged to Fury, who nearly dropped Makhmudov in the 11th.
Both fighters frequently clinched in the closing stages as they managed fatigue and saw out the final round to the delight of the crowd.
With the victory, Fury improved his professional record to 35 wins, two losses and one draw, while Makhmudov fell to his third defeat in 24 fights, alongside 21 wins.
