Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, is holding a closed-door meeting with the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, amid rising political tension in Oyo State.
The visit came after Fayose’s earlier claim that Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, was allegedly planning to dethrone the monarch, as well as controversies surrounding an alleged impeachment plot in the Oyo State House of Assembly, which was said to involve the traditional institution.
Before proceeding into the meeting, Fayose briefly told journalists he was in Ibadan to “identify with the traditional institution,” adding that “the truth about the whole saga will soon be revealed.”
