Governor Mutfwang Calls for Unity and Peace During Eid-el-Fitr Celebrations in Plateau
Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau has called on the Muslim Ummah in the State and Nigeria in general to promote peaceful coexistence and unity at all times.
The governor made the call in a message commemorating the 2023 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations in the state.
Mutfwang acknowledged the unwavering commitment of the Muslim community to peaceful coexistence in Plateau and Nigeria, describing Eid-el-Fitr as a significant milestone that reinforces faith, sacrifice, and submission to the will of God.
He commended the Muslim Ummah for the devotion, discipline, and sacrifices exhibited throughout the holy month of Ramadan and urged them to sustain the spirit of love and understanding at all times.
Governor Mutfwang also called on the Muslims to use the occasion to pray for divine guidance and wisdom for leaders at all levels, in order to deliver responsive and people-oriented governance.
He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to inclusive governance, assuring the citizens of continued efforts to ensure the safety of lives and property, improved welfare, and promoting sustainable development at all levels.
Governor Mutfwang urged citizens of the state, regardless of religion or tribe, to be united, peaceful, and law-abiding.
He further called on the residents to support government policies aimed at creating a conducive environment for economic prosperity and sustainable development.
