Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo, mother of Edo State Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa, has passed away.
She died in Benin City on April 8, 2026, after a brief illness at the age of 95.
The deputy governor’s spokesperson, Friday Aghedo, confirmed her death in a statement on Wednesday.
“The Enabulele family of Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State announces the peaceful passing of their beloved daughter, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa (née Enabulele), on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the age of 95,” the statement read.
The family described the deceased as a venerable matriarch who lived a fulfilled and impactful life, marked by unwavering faith and devotion to her family and community.
