Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter, urging them to imbibe attributes displayed by Jesus Christ.
In a statement by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, the Deputy Senate President urged all Nigerias to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the interest of the country. “As the Christian faithful celebrate Easter, it is important to remember the essence of Easter, which is the recognition of the love, sacrifice, and suffering Jesus Christ bore for Christendom,” he said. He also preached that love and tolerance should prevail above violence, killings, agitations, and other divisive tendencies.
“In our collective efforts to progress as a nation, we must all rise above our perceived differences. Only love and tolerance will make us a great nation,” he added. Barau, who is also the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, used the medium to seek the continuous prayers and support of Nigerians for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and sustain their faith in God and to promote peace, love, unity, and virtues for the betterment of the country.
