According to the spokesperson for the Delta Police, Bright Edafe, the suspect had been on their watch list due to prior allegations of involvement in cult activities. Mamatime was arrested on July 21, 2026, in collaboration with local youths from the Jesse Community, who aided the police in their efforts.
