The burial ceremony was attended by a high-powered delegation, including Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, Minister of Defence Gen. Christopher Musa (Rtd), Chief of Defence Staff General Olufemi Oluyede, and Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu. The atmosphere was heavy with emotion as the nation bid farewell to men described by leadership as the "shield of the nation."
