APC Leader in Delta State Vows to Stay Strong Despite Alleged Marginalization
A prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Mr. Moses Yabrade, has vowed to remain politically strong despite alleged efforts to marginalize him within the party.
Yabrade, a founding member of the APC and former secretary of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Warri South West local government area, stated that he would make his impact felt in the Warri federal constituency in the coming general polls.
According to him, since decampees from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) joined the APC, there have been several moves to reduce his influence in the party.
He recalled the risks he took and sacrifices he made during the last general elections to ensure victory for the APC in the Delta South senatorial elections, where Senator Joel-Onowakpo-Thomas won.
"I started out as a ward Chairman in ACN, from where I became the Acting LGA Secretary and participated in all the congress from 2013, where the Legacy parties (ACN, CPC) were dissolved and part of ANPP, APGA were merged to form the APC. I became the pioneer secretary of the APC, Warri South West LGA, Delta State in 2014. Participated in all the registration processes of the party from 2013 and that of 2018. I was a National Delegate in 2014 Presidential primaries. I was also an acting Senatorial Secretary in 2018 “, he said.
"Well, I will not run away from the house I built, neither will I vacate my sweat for others to harvest, nor will I foolishly fight against massive state resources. I am a strategic fighter . You can see the long time It took me to react, months! I have perfected my plans. You have won the battle as expected, but the war just started from my end.">
"I am still a member of the party and going nowhere. I will shock you all, especially the political actors in Warri Federal and the Senatorial zone. I know I will be ignored, just the way I want it. Thank God my survival is not based on politics, so I can conveniently take a marathon. but unfortunately this war, will end swiftly, as it is time bound, and may end badly, even for me, a cost I have carefully counted before starting out today as “he that is down fears no fall”", he added.
