Senator Ede Dafinone of Delta Central Senatorial District on Thursday night hosted key political stakeholders from the district at a dinner in Abuja, ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention commencing today at Eagle Square.
The lawmaker said the gathering, held at Nkoyo Restaurant, Ceddi Plaza, was aimed at welcoming leaders who had travelled in for the convention and fostering unity among party stakeholders from Delta Central.
“Last night in Abuja, I had the pleasure of hosting a dinner at Nkoyo Restaurant, Ceddi Plaza, for our respected leaders from Delta Central who travelled in ahead of the APC National Convention starting today at Eagle Square,” Dafinone stated.
He described the evening as “relaxed,” noting that it provided an opportunity to engage and reconnect with party leaders in an informal setting ahead of the high-stakes convention.
Among those in attendance were prominent figures including Ighoyota Amori, Chief John Oguma, Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, Delta Central APC Vice Chairman Chief Ovie Agas, Chief Kingsley Esiso, Chief Isaac Akpoveta, Olorogun Bernard Edewor, Dr. Mrs Augustina Erah, Chief Mrs Tina Brown, and Oniemo Faith Majemite.
Also present were members of the Delta State House of Assembly led by Deputy Speaker Arthur Akpowowo, alongside Chief Perkins Umukoro, Chief James Augoye, Hon. Edafe Emakpor, Hon. Matthew Omonade, Hon. Festus Utuama, and Hon. Benson Obire.
Council Chairmen were equally represented at the dinner, led by the ALGON Chairman, Delta State Chapter, Chief Isaiah Onoriode Esiovwa, with other attendees including Chief Bright Abeke, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, Dr. Lucky Avweromre, Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni, Chief Augustine Ogedegbe, and Olorogun Vincent Oyibode. Commissioners Hon. Onoriode Agofure and Hon. Ejiro Jamani, as well as APC LGA party chairmen and secretaries, were also in attendance.
Dafinone expressed optimism about the convention, urging peaceful participation by delegates and stakeholders.
“As the Convention begins today, I wish all participants a peaceful and successful outing,” he said, reaffirming the party’s slogan, “APC – Renewed Hope for More Agenda.”
