A Yola based women political movement has asked the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, PTDF. Ahmed Aminu Galadima to resign his post and join the governorship race in Adamawa state.
The group under the auspice, Galadima Women Support Group (GWSG) made public their demand at its convention held in Yola, the Adamawa state capital on yesterday stressing that, their action was born out of patriotism and betterment of the state as a whole.
Speaking at the event, Zonal Coordinator of the group,GWSG.Mrs Paulina Kaigama said that the intimidating track record of achievements, integrity, experience and capacity of Ahmed Galadima informed the decision to support this course in the best interest of the state.
In her remarks, the state Coordinator of the group, Hajiya Mariya Adamu Nyako stated that the group has already raised over N120 Million to secure the APC s nomination and expression of intent forms for Ahmed Galadima and will be mobilizing three million (3m) votes for president Bola Tinubu’s re-election in the state.
Responding, Hajiya Sa’adatu Galadima, wife of the PTDF Executive Secretary, thanked the Adamawa women for urging her husband to contest.
Mrs Galadima told the gathering that her husband understands the challenges facing the people in the state and that he is committed to addressing them if given the opportunity to serve as Governor in the 2027 General elections.
