The construction of the Kamale Road in Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State has reached an advanced stage, with asphalt laying currently ongoing from Michika town to Mararaba Garta.
The project has recorded significant progress, including the completion of a four-span bridge and several culverts along the route. Drainage construction within Kamale town, as well as earthworks, are also progressing simultaneously.
The Adamawa State Government said the project, being executed under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, is aimed at boosting socio-economic activities in the Kamale axis.
The road is expected to improve connectivity by linking several communities within Michika Local Government Area.
The improved road network across the state will enhance movement of people and goods, support local businesses, and open up rural communities for further development.
The government further stated that road projects across the state are being strictly supervised by the Ministry of Works and Energy Development to ensure compliance with approved standards and timely completion.
