The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Barrister Idris Shaibu Gella, on Sunday paid a Sallah homage to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at his country home in Madagali, expressing confidence in a landslide victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Gella said he was overwhelmed by the governor’s grassroots popularity, noting that the warm reception by youths, who described Fintiri as the “ATM Governor,” reflects a strong connection between the administration and the people.
The APC chairman commended the governor for efforts at collapsing opposition structures and integrating them into what he described as a unified political front in the state.
He also hailed the improved security situation in Adamawa, attributing the development to the collaboration between the state government and the Office of the National Security Adviser.
According to him, the prevailing peace in many parts of the state has created a conducive environment for political participation and socio-economic activities.
Responding, Governor Fintiri reiterated his commitment to strengthening the political landscape through ongoing registration and mobilization efforts. He said the state is being strategically positioned to deliver a landslide victory for President Tinubu in 2027.
