Stakeholders and members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State have resolved to work for the victory of the party’s presidential candidate and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and other cadidates of the party
The ADC has been experiencing internal wranglings over the authentic governorship candidate in the state The situation led to the emergence of two parallel state executive committees between Bar. Ibrahim Sadiq Dasin and Sai’du Naira.
Meanwhile, the resolution to support Atiku and others was reached during a meeting between the new state Acting Chairman of the party, Sai’du Naira and the ward chairmen and state executive members from the Adamawa Central Senatorial Zone
The agenda of the meeting was loyalty and promotion of internal party democracy
Speaking during the meeting held at the ADC Secretariat at the weekend, Naira expressed delight with the cooperation with the state executive members, urging all to remain resolute
Naira’ expressed their loyalty and support to the national leadership under former Senate president, Senator David Mark, pledging to work for the success of the party in the 226 political wards in the 21 local government areas of the state
Naira assured that the party has regaining its strength coming out of an unnecessary internal crisis and insisting that transparency and honesty would be his guiding principles as a leader
“Honestly ADC as a party almost collapsed because of the way the suspended leader was handling the affairs of party
“But thank God that, those with the love and interest of the party at heart did all that was legally necessary to push them aside
“We urged you all to work day and night for the progress and victory of former Vice president Atiku Abubakar and all other ADC candidates seeking elective positions”, Naira emphasized.
