Nigerian Music Icon 2Baba's Bold Declaration
Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Face or 2Baba, has generated discussion in the media after proclaiming that Nigeria is undeniably improving compared to past years.
Optimism Amidst Ongoing Challenges
During a recent appearance on Wazobia TV, the celebrated artist shared his hopeful perspective on the country's journey, even in the face of ongoing struggles. In response to host Yaw's remarks about recurring issues reflected in his classic track, “E Be Like Say,” 2Baba maintained a positive outlook.
“We are better off than many years ago. Just look at it,” he stated, emphasizing the progress made since the political climate that inspired his earlier music.
Self-Appointed Ambassador for Nigeria
This title reflects his desire to highlight Nigeria positively and make significant contributions in his unique manner. “It’s still ongoing, but I will continue doing it. I will set up my own position and try to make a difference,” he added.
A Voice for Positive Change
While 2Baba previously engaged in a political campaign, he clarified that he does not plan to enter politics actively. Instead, he prefers to remain an independent advocate for constructive change.
Having established a reputation for his socially conscious music and staunch advocacy for good governance over his 20-year career, the veteran artist's remarks have ignited a mixed bag of reactions online, highlighting the polarized views on Nigeria's current status.
