ABUJA — A pro-government group, the Take Action Campaign for Tinubu (TACT), has written to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, declaring its intention to purchase the party’s presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to the group, the offer to purchase the forms is rooted in its assessment of the administration’s record and its belief that ongoing reforms require continuity to be fully realised.
The Director-General of TACT and former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tony Nwulu, disclosed this on Saturday while addressing APC women leaders who visited him in solidarity.
The group said Nigerians at home and in the diaspora were convinced of the need to sustain and consolidate the administration’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda.’
“The decision to support President Tinubu for a second term is informed by the bold and transformative policies initiated under his leadership. We believe continuity is essential to fully realise the gains of these reforms,” the letter read.
TACT said its decision followed what it described as ‘significant’ and far-reaching reforms implemented over the past three years across economic restructuring, infrastructure development, and governance.
According to the group, offering to purchase the nomination form is a show of confidence in the President’s leadership and reflects support among citizens who believe the reforms need more time to yield full benefits.
They also said the administration’s policies, though difficult in the short term, are laying a solid foundation for long-term national growth and stability, adding that the President has shown the political will to take tough decisions.
“We call on Nigerians to show greater understanding and cooperation with the government, as these reforms are designed to ultimately improve the socio-economic well-being of all citizens,” the group said.
Beyond buying the form, the group said it would also mobilise citizens and drive public engagement to ensure the President’s victory in 2027.
